Going Away, To Grammie's House I Go

I will be gone for the next few weeks to my Grammies house. And she does not have internet...so I will probably only get a chance to blog or e-mail or anything when I am at the library. Luckily enough for me! I have the laptop so I can still read whatever fanfics I just happen to have saved on a disc. ;) lol. Lucky ME! Most of them are HP and SG-1.

That's okay. :D.

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny

As all of my Twitter friends are very aware, I have been watching a LOT of X-Files the last few weeks. I usually can go about 6 months without a marathon....but once I get started it's hard to stop watching the show until I've re-seen all the episodes. All the ones that I have, that is. ;).

So, I just wanted to say that in my opinion Gillian and David are the cutest couple ever on TV. They are just so *Cute*. And they just cannot help themselves. :).

HP New SongFic

I have gotten a lot of writing done. Yeah, how many times have you heard *THAT* line? lol. ;) But it's true. I thought I had ruined the laptop I am using, but my best friend - Mel - gave me some instructions that fixed the problem right up. I was terrified I had lost this weeks newest story! But that is not the case. I'll let you know when I post it but just encase you're interested in reading it. ;) It is a songfic for HP from some Three Doors Down music. And it is much longer than I anticipated it would turn out. That's a good thing though. :D I'll let you know when I completely finished it. I'm about two sections away from the first chapter being totally finished. I feel good about this story as far as my writing technically goes. Much better than I used to feel when I was writing. I am improving! :)

I've never really been a HUGE fan of Friends. I mean, I liked to watch the odd episode now and then, but it was never one of my obsessions. The actors from the show, however, have totally captivated my creative side. They are so FUNNY! lol. Anyway, I found some interviews with them. ;).

I really liked the way they handled this interview. It was fun to watch and there was a lot of good questions asked. :D.

Jonas Armstrong

Seems I haven't made a post about Jonas in a while - no, Mel, not *that* Jonas - ;). So here is one!!! I am still waiting to own the first season of the BBC series Robin Hood. It is just an amazingly humorous and modern show. I love it - especially Robin Hood who is played by Jonas Armstrong (See the above photo :).

The show is not in the least bit realistic and I think that's why I love it so much. It's like a whole group of modern people went to a secluded place and are "Playing" robin hood with cameras rolling. It's wonderful fun! lol. ;)

Hope season two is just as great. Haven't heard anything about it. Hmmmm? Maybe I should do some reading and find out what plots to expect. If any. :).

The No Good, Very Bad, Awful Day

Okay, contrary to this post's title, I had a very good day today. :D. Things have been going well as far as my writing is concerned. Mermaid Sisters is well over half-way finished and by far the longest story I have written to date. :)! Thanks to Heat Wave - which challenged me to write a long, complete story and also thanks to my best friend, Mel, who insisted that I actually *FINISH* something! lol. ;) Thanks, Mel.

Me and my mom were in town for most of the day, but I was able to work a little bit on my digital painting. It was quite...fun. lol. Very fun, actually!! I'll post something as soon as I have it completely finished. I am hoping to make something along the lines of Kyra79's art. That would make my week! :) :).

So I also have a poster to finish. Ugh. I've been working on getting the thing finished for almost four MONTHS. It's starting to annoy that I haven't finished it yet - something not entirely my fault. ;) lol. I have a deadline now. Tuesday of this next week. So maybe that will motivate me. :).

I have been watching a LOT of X-Files this week. :D. I love X-Files!! Mulder and Scully are so *cute* together. lol. They just cannot help it! :) I'll probably make a post just for that show sometime in the future.

Lost Quidditch Game

Crochet and Other Hobbies

I haven't mentioned crochet in a few posts. I know that I showed you all of those really cool scarves that I made. :) Well, I'm making another one with a matching bag. It's soft and blue with little silver flecks in it. :) I love it! It's *Soo* soft...

I don't have it totally finished yet so I'm not going to put up pictures until I'm done with both of them.

My mom's been bugging me to make her some slippers so I am going to be working on that this next week.

Have I mentioned that she's having someone spend the night this weekend. *Ugh*. I think I'll stay in my room and be unsociable. We all no that so *Isn't* me. (Sarcasm in bucket loads there ;). I don't really like people coming over...at all. lol. I cannot WAIT until I have my own house. Soon, soon. *Heavy sigh* Nat-han is so GREAT!!!!! *Happy SMILE!* :D. He said that I can move in with him until I get a job. Which is so great.

There is just NOTHING over here. There were three jobs that I could apply for, but I was passed over for more experienced people. *Pouts* So not fair. Right?? I should at least get a chance! Oh well.... the world keeps turning.

So, I don't know what I am going to do today. I did a LOT of cleaning yesterday and a lot of writing last night at, like, four in the a.m. lol. I write so much better late at night. :) My best and most work gets done after eleven. Not sure how good that is because it leaves me really tired, but I really want to finish these books!!

I've added a really evil character to the Mermaid Sister. Mwahaha-huh? Erm. Yeah. Evil.

The Gary File

So...Gary Hallmen. Lt. in the United States Air Force and member of the Atlantis expedition into the Pegasus Galaxy.

Yeah................

I made his life horribly complicated. I added angst. Then I went and piled more on top of the previous instance. Then I went into a back story. Then I added a best friend. Then I re-lived the guilt through flashback activated by a current threatening situation IN THE MESS HALL of all places. Heehee. That all was fun, but then I got to write it with my best friend - who is also playing a character over there on Twitter. Gary, Gary, Gary. *Shakes head*. He is going through a really tough time in his life and then I added band instruments!!!

Anyway, I'm putting Gary through the wringer and it has been just sooo fun to write! lol. Who knew that angst was so cool...other than my fellow angst addicts, of course. ;) But I'm not naming names. lol.

I am really enjoying the game and wish that I had a bit more time on it, but with all of my other busy things that I am up to I only get a few hours a week as Gary. That's okay. I'll take that. :D.

OoOh, I added another love interest - a serious one - for Terra Wright. ;) That should be fun. Once it matures a little more I'll post on it.

Aaand The Computer's Back

Okay, the BIG computer scare *OoooOOoooh* is over. :D. Thanks to some smart people who actually know stuff about computers. Unlike me, who only knows how to play movies, music and write e-mails. lol. ;). Just kidding. NOT about the smart computer people...about the rest. *Scratches head* I'm getting waay sidetracked. lol.

Today I got two more chapter written for Mermaid Sisters. Hmmm. I have simply *got* to come up with a better working title. It's about politics in a futuristic woman dominate society on a sand covered Earth. Any ideas?? lol. I'm thinking of making some cover art for it...or just ART for it and posting it so you can get a clue about the characters and places, etc. I was able to work not only mermaids into it, but Unicorns as well. lol. And it's a SCIFI! I love it!

Well, I watched The Kingdom of Heaven today. You know, the BEST movie ever with Orlando Bloom playing Balin who has to protect Jerusalem from the Muslims....You know??? lol. Probably not, unless you're a LOTR fan like me and have seen every movie that Orland Bloom has ever played in. ;) That, of course, is NOT why I like TKOH. I like it because it was directed, edited, filmed and acted very well. :D. Totally great movie if you want to check it out.

Anyway, a really cool dude - whom I have yet to introduce to you wonderful people ;) - sent it to us. His name is Roy. He's cool! :). He paints. I LOVE his paintings!! ..... I think I'll see if he has a blog or artist page or something on the web so I can post a link up there on the left.

OOOOOOH! I came up with a great, wonderful, fantastic, amazing - alright, so that's all a bit of an overstatement, but it FEELS true - idea for my character Gary Hallmen. You know, the Twitter guy??? I'll post next JUST about him and let you know all about it. Yep. :D. Hope you all are having a great day!!!

Matt-hew and School

I thought I would give you a Matt-hew update. ;). He is doing great and loving Academy.

The very last time that I talked with him was last night and he was hanging out with some friends. So, the facts: He's having fun, he has new friends, he is NOT turning in his work time! lol. Poor kid isn't going to get credit for the first few weeks of work because he never turned in his work times. I had that same problem my freshman year. ;).

We are still playing out game. It doesn't have a name, but it's a text RPG that deals with a game that our characters have to go through in rounds. We had just started round 3 when he went off to school. I'd won one and lost the second by barely a hair! I think he cheated. *Crosses arms over chest and taps foot on floor*. Absolutely positive that he cheated. How else could he have won against ME? Hmm? lol. :)

We're having fun playing it so I cannot wait for him to get a little more free time so that he can go. (It's his play, btw).

I am also having to stall on playing 9 Dragons, because of the computer's problems. Whatever those may be. My dad is going to try and fix it soon, but he's been working too late the last few days. So, I'm not sure when I'll be able to play it again. But I am leveling up - or Losing Self - as it is called. ;) I hope to beat Matt-hew at some point. lol. That was my goal for playing it in the first place. Personally, I like SW Battle Front 2 better....or FF....or, well, Tomb Raider. But I'll take what I can get. :D. lol.

I'll try to keep you updated on how things go for Matt-hew this school year.

My Wonderful Computer

My "wonderful" computer has a slight hiccup that I need to work out of it. Not sure WHY, but every thing's really, really, really sloooow. Hmmmm??? I have been writing - big shock there! lol. :) I have also been working on finding an artist for a new graphic novel that I have written. lol. It's actually Legacy - for those of you who know what it is. . .for those of you who DON'T know what it is. Ask. :D. And I'll let you in on the secret. ;) Since my computer isn't really working that well I am going to go into my room and work on writing my fantasy/scifi novels while I watch the X-Files. :D. Gotta love Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny. Such funny actors! lol. I'm trying to find the episodes where Scully has cancer....and is in the hospital. Haven't seen those for-E-ver. lol. The Deathly Hallows

Okay, here it is, I warned you all! *SPOILERS* MY REVIEW...for the Deathly Hallows - book number 7 for those of you who have lost track. ;)!

I will start out with a small, general review. Here goes: I LOVED IT! Doesn't get much smaller...or more general than that. :). The writing was superb, as we all expected. lol. The story itself I thought was the best so far...YES. The absolute best so far! (I had previously held The Order of The Phoenix to be the best book and it is still my fav.)

The Deathly Hallows brings and entirely new view to all 6 of the books that came before it. Okay, anway, moving onward. ;). I loved the book and there were a few points in it that I was ready to just give up and not read anymore - but, of course, I couldn't exactly DO that...EVER! lol. But I got quite sad with a few of the deaths.

Dobby's brought me to tears. And I mean real tears....I don't really cry that often unless I'm freaking out over something so for me to cry over a book character for real is a pretty big deal for me. Dobby, I am unashamed to say, was my second favorite character next to Severus. I've just got a soft-spot for house-elves. lol. :). So when he died and Harry insisted on burying him...I was just so sad. I almost could not go on, but then my morbid fascination took over and I HAD to know who else was going to die. Fred's death and Remu's and Tonk's also hit me hard. Strange that Severus' death didn't. Hmmm? Not sure why....I think it's because we knew he was going to die before it actually happened. We had a very slight warning. Whereas with Dobby, Fred, Remus and Tonks we had NO IDEA that it was going to happen. With all of the advanced, elf magic that Dobby was doing I was NOT expecting him to be felled by a knife.

It just really hit me hard...just like it hit Harry, I'm assuming. Long and short, I LOVED IT! lol. It was a fantastic book with waaay too many details to put into one blog post. :D.

LOVING what I know of OOTP so far. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE IT! *Squee* It'll be sooo cool. I think it'll be all the better for the wait. :D. TTYL. Have a great day, world.

The Weather

Last night the weather was just horrible. Rain, wind, thunder, lighting, etc. All of it was blowing around last night. The electricity was off until 1:00 this morning. Neek!

So, I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night. I always sleep to music and having EVERYTHING quiet was just weird!! It was totally quiet everywhere....weird, weird.

Anyway, I caught some of the storm through my window and so I wanted to share. ;). :D. Hope you all are having a great day!
